New Car!

I’ve been thinking about buying a new car for a little while. Today I did just that. I bought a 2012 Ford Focus Titanium. I know, I know…I had a hybrid before. Why did I get rid of it? Simply because it did not have all the technology that I want. I looked at the new Civics but they didn’t offer the same level of technology that the Focus offered. And the new Focus gets up to 40 MPG on the highway. I’m not giving up too much gas millage with the new car. I just got back from Charlottesville and I got 41 MPG with the hybrid so I’m not missing too much.

The Focus is loaded with almost every feature you can get on it except a moonroof. It has the following:

Navigation-Voice Activated
Sirius Satellite Radio
My Ford Touch with Sync by Microsoft (yuck, hate Microsoft)
Leather
Heated Seats
Heated Mirrors
Rear View Camera
Parking Technology Package (parallel parks itself!)
Sport Suspension
18″ Alloy Wheets
6-way Power Driver’s seat
Rain Sensitive Wipers
Spoiler
Fog Lamps
Ambient Lighting
Push Button Start
Premium Sony Sound System with 10 speakers and sub-woofer

I played with the technology all afternoon and learned more about each system. It will take me awhile to learn all the capabilities of the My Ford Touch system. I’ve got time. I have a feeling I’ll have this car until I retire. I’m loving it so far!

  1. Sweet! Congrats on the new wheels. We have a Focus (older base model hatchback, but same color) down here in Florida. We love it. We miss having power locks. Manually locking it every time is real pain.
