Beautiful Sunrise

This morning I had to have some blood work so I got up extra early and went to get my blood taken. On the way home I saw this beautiful sunrise. I instantly got an amazing feeling in my body. This is also the first day of the rest of my life. I say that because I finally realized it’s time to stop smoking. After my shower this morning I slapped on the nicotine patch and plan to use it as long as I need to to get past the nasty habit. I had my last smokey treat at 10:20 AM.

After my blood work this morning, I went right to the track at AU and walked 3.10 miles. While there the sky filled with clouds and I snapped a picture. Later a young gazelle came onto the track and ran very fast past me. Oh to see the young ones.

Blind Walking

This morning I walked 3.06 miles on the track at AU. I went past 3 miles! Yay! While on the track today I saw a blind man jogging with his assistant. They used a rope between to help keep their pace together. I thought that was very clever. On the way home I saw this church and I thought today’s picture would be appropriate because it’s Sunday and all. Although I’m not religious AT ALL.

Rainy Day Indoor Walk

It was raining this morning so I didn’t walk first thing. I ate a delicious breakfast of French toast and bacon. Then I waited a little while thinking the rain might let up but it didn’t. So I walked indoors today. I walked 2.54 miles up and down the halls and stairs. I really do not like walking indoors. Our building is supposed to be getting a gym sometime soon. When it rains I’ll walk on the treadmill. Until then, it’s indoors.
